1,455 contraband seizures reported at customs ports final week

RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) introduced on Saturday that land, sea, and air customs ports recorded 1,455 seizures of contraband objects over the past week.

The seized objects included 46 kinds of narcotics resembling cannabis, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and Captagon tablets, weapons, along with 536,558 prohibited substances.

The authority acknowledged that customs ports additionally seized 2,532 packages of tobacco and its derivatives, together with 28 circumstances involving money and three kinds of weapons and associated tools.
