RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s air defenses intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles launched towards Prince Sultan Air Base early Friday, the Protection Ministry mentioned.
Protection Ministry spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki mentioned the missiles have been launched towards the air base situated in Al-Kharj governorate.
Al-Maliki added that air defenses additionally intercepted and destroyed two drones, one within the Jap Province and one other east of Al-Kharj.
In a separate replace, the spokesperson mentioned a cruise missile was intercepted and destroyed east of Al-Kharj governorate.
Earlier Thursday, the spokesperson introduced that Saudi air defenses had intercepted and destroyed three cruise missiles outdoors Al-Kharj, about 80 kilometers southeast of Riyadh, in addition to three drones close to the governorate.
