Saudi Arabia Permits Employment of Expatriates’ Dependents – New HR Ministry Guidelines

The Minister of Human Useful resource and Social Growth of Saudi Arabia has been given the ability to control the roles of expatriates’ dependents within the Kingdom. The choice was taken by the Council of Ministers on this regard, as per Akhbar 24 report.

The choice follows the foundations within the doc titled “Particular preparations for the employment of female and male dependents of overseas staff legally residing within the Kingdom as an alternative choice to recruitment.”

As per the Cupboard’s ruling, the HR minister can even set the monetary charges for hiring expatriates’ dependents. The entire charge collected for every dependent have to be equal to the present charge paid when hiring overseas staff within the non-public sector.

The rules on using dependents, first issued in 1437 AH, set six situations for one of these hiring. These situations embrace:

➤ The dependent have to be the husband, spouse, or male guardian of a feminine worker.

➤ Their employment should observe the Nitaqat Saudization program guidelines.
