The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, issued a royal order appointing Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan as Grand Mufti of the Kingdom and Chairman of the Council of Senior Students.

With the assistance of God Almighty

We’re Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

King of Saudi Arabia

After reviewing the Primary Legislation of Governance, issued by Royal Order No. (A/90) dated 8/27/1412 AH.

After reviewing the system of ministers, deputy ministers, and wonderful rank workers, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/10) dated 3/18/1391 AH.

After reviewing Royal Orders No. (A/4) dated 1/20/1414 AH, No. (A/14) dated 3/3/1414 AH, and No. (A/82) and No. (A/83) dated 2/29/1446 AH.

And based mostly on what was offered to us by His Highness the Crown Prince.


We ordered the next:


Firstly: His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan bin Abdullah Al-Fawzan is appointed Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Council of Senior Students, and Common President of the Common Presidency for Scholarly Analysis and Fatwa, with the rank of Minister.

secondly: Our order will likely be communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation.
