RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani mentioned that the current legislative and procedural developments have strengthened the standing of arbitration and different dispute decision mechanisms.
“This resulted in establishing them as efficient and dependable choices throughout the justice system,” the minister mentioned whereas attending the primary panel dialogue on the Fifth Worldwide Convention and Exhibition of the Saudi Middle for Business Arbitration (SCCA26), which started in Riyadh on Wednesday.
Al-Samaani said that the mixing of authorized, judicial, monetary, and industrial tracks has contributed to constructing a steady and dependable funding setting. “Regulatory readability and the effectiveness of the judicial system in supporting arbitration and imposing its rulings — together with the unification of enforcement jurisdiction — signify a key pillar in enhancing authorized certainty,” he mentioned.
The minister famous that the enforcement system for arbitration awards recorded a development fee of 43 p.c in 2025, with industrial arbitration accounting for 50 p.c of this improve, reflecting the rising confidence of traders and the enterprise sector in arbitration as a dispute decision pathway.
