New Rules on Fruit and Vegetable Packaging & Labels

The Ministry of Setting, Water, and Agriculture has set new guidelines for the way fruit and veggies should be packaged and labeled earlier than being bought in public markets. These guidelines are made to maintain meals secure and prime quality throughout storage, transport, and dealing with.


Label guidelines:

Each packaged unit of fruits or greens should be labeled that reveals:

➤ Title of the product

➤ Web weight

➤ Packaging date

➤ Nation of origin

➤ Provider or producer particulars (registration quantity, identify, and emblem).

Packaging guidelines:

🔹 Packaging should use secure, robust, and recyclable food-grade supplies.

🔹 It ought to enable good air circulation.

🔹 Cardboard packaging should be made from corrugated cardboard.

Cardboard field guidelines:

■ Packing containers used on pallets should be lined on the surface to cease contamination throughout storage and transport.

■ Inside surfaces will be lined, coated, or handled with moisture-resistant materials, but it surely should not injury the fruits.
