Royal order appoints Sheikh Saleh Al-Maghamsi imam at Prophet’s Mosque

MADINAH — A royal order has been issued appointing Sheikh Saleh bin Awad Al-Maghamsi as an imam on the Prophet’s Mosque.

Al-Maghamsi was born in Madinah in 1963 and grew up in a scholarly surroundings that enabled him to pursue Islamic research at an early age.

He later specialised in Quranic exegesis and served for a few years as imam and preacher of Quba Mosque.

He’s identified for his calm and articulate type in deciphering the Holy Quran and for linking spiritual texts to modern points.
