Saudi Arabia at UNHRC: Iranian assaults a flagrant breach of the UN Constitution

GENEVA — Saudi Arabia, on behalf of the Arab Group, conveyed its strongest condemnation of the Iranian assaults directed in opposition to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Jordan.

“Saudi Arabia underscored that these assaults signify a critical violation of worldwide regulation, a flagrant breach of the Constitution of the United Nations, and a direct affront to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states involved,” stated Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Majid bin Khuthaila, Saudi Everlasting Consultant to the United Nations and different worldwide organizations in Geneva.

He made the remarks whereas attending, on behalf of the Arab Group, the overall debate on the 61st session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday.

In his handle, Ambassador Abdulmohsen affirmed that the concentrating on of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Jordan constitutes a grave violation of worldwide humanitarian regulation and worldwide human rights regulation, and poses a critical risk to regional stability in addition to to worldwide peace and safety.
