NEW DELHI — Saudi Knowledge and Synthetic Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi introduced that Saudi Arabia is the primary Arab nation to affix the International Partnership on Synthetic Intelligence (GPAI).
Talking on the India AI Affect Summit 2026, he emphasised that the accession to the GPAI underscores the Kingdom’s management in fostering the accountable and dependable use of AI. Notably, Saudi Arabia ranks third globally in contributions to the Group for Financial Co-operation and Improvement AI Coverage Observatory, having submitted over 60 insurance policies to help worldwide governance.
In line with Alghamdi, this strategic partnership goals to broaden AI danger monitoring to the Center East, aligning regional priorities with worldwide requirements and reinforcing the Riyadh Constitution on AI to make sure moral technological improvement for the good thing about humanity.
Saudi Arabia has formally joined the International Partnership on Synthetic Intelligence (GPAI), an initiative hosted by the Group for Financial Co-operation and Improvement and originating from the G7.
Represented by the Saudi Knowledge and Synthetic Intelligence Authority, the Kingdom’s accession to the GPAI highlights its function as a worldwide chief in AI governance and improvement. Supported by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, this membership aligns with Imaginative and prescient 2030 objectives to localize superior applied sciences and increase the digital economic system’s contribution to GDP.
By becoming a member of over 40 nations, Saudi Arabia will actively form worldwide AI requirements, promote moral and accountable AI use, and entice high-quality international investments into its strong regulatory atmosphere.
