Saudi East-West pipeline runs at 7 million bpd amid Hormuz disruption: Report

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline is working at its full capability of seven million barrels per day, Bloomberg Information reported on Saturday.

The pipeline, which bypasses the Strait of Hormuz, is getting used to keep up oil flows amid ongoing regional disruption.

Crude exports from Yanbu port on the Purple Sea have reached 5 million barrels per day, based on the report.

The Kingdom can be exporting between 700,000 and 900,000 barrels per day of refined oil merchandise.

Aramco CEO Amin Nasser mentioned earlier in March that the pipeline was anticipated to achieve full capability as clients reroute shipments.

The escalation within the Gulf area has disrupted power markets and international transport routes, with visitors by way of the Strait of Hormuz affected.
