TGA detects 93,259 violations and impounds 2,762 autos in February

RIYADH — Officers from the Transport Basic Authority (TGA) have carried out over 464,126 inspections of land, sea, and rail transport actions over the last month of February. These inspections have resulted within the detection of 93,259 violations and impounding of two,762 autos. The inspection marketing campaign is a part of TGA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the standard of providers and improve security requirements.

The inspections in land transport actions totaled 456,363, with a compliance charge of 92 %. The maritime transport sector carried out 7,720 inspections with a compliance charge of 99 %, whereas the rail transport sector recorded 43 inspections with a one hundred pc compliance charge. This displays the built-in efforts of the inspection groups in monitoring transport actions within the Kingdom.

The authority said that 93,230 violations had been recorded in land transport actions, whereas the maritime transport sector recorded 29 violations. It confirmed that authorized penalties had been utilized to violators, together with the impounding of two,762 autos that didn’t meet the laws and technical necessities for land transport.
