Riyadh Metro adjusts begin time to five:30 AM to serve commuters and college students

RIYADH — The Riyadh public transport introduced that Riyadh Metro will now start working each day at 5:30 AM, in a transfer aimed toward serving college students, workers, and early-morning commuters.

The adjustment responds to rising demand for the metro service and is a part of efforts to scale back reliance on non-public autos, ease site visitors congestion, and enhance mobility throughout the capital.

Officers mentioned the brand new schedule helps broader plans to broaden and improve the general public transport community in step with the sustainability and quality-of-life aims.

In August, the Royal Fee for Riyadh Metropolis reported that the metro had transported 100 million passengers since its launch in December, attaining an operational punctuality price exceeding 99.78 %.

The blue line alongside Olaya hall accounted for 46.5 million riders, adopted by the crimson line on King Abdullah Street with 17 million passengers, and the orange line alongside Madinah Street with 12 million passengers. The three different strains collectively recorded 24.5 million riders.

Riyadh Metro’s providers are built-in with a large bus community, on-demand shuttles, and public transport parking amenities.
