Why visit Taif

Taif sits in the western highlands and is known for its relatively mild climate, mountain scenery, rose heritage and seasonal markets. It can be visited as a short break from Jeddah or as part of a longer western Saudi route.

Combine city markets and cultural stops with a separate day for viewpoints and mountain areas. During seasonal events, confirm dates and road conditions before travelling.

Getting there

Road travel is the normal approach from Jeddah, Makkah and nearby airports. Mountain routes require attentive driving, especially at night or in poor visibility.
